A Man

You tell me to cast all my cares upon You,
But is that really what You want me to do?
I want a man,
A Godly man.

A man with a heart like Yours
A man who wants Your will.
I've told You all this before,
But maybe You want to hear it once more.

I want a guy with sparkly eyes,
And a heart that cries.
I want a guy who lives for You.

Maybe you get tired of this repetitious prayer,
But I know that You care.

I feel so ashamed that I've begun to doubt Your power,
But God I have the faith of a mustard seed.
You say that's all I need.

So do something big in me
That people can really see!
I'll give you all the glory
For the man that You give me!

I Forget

Time zooms by
And I forget to say "Hi."
I forget to go to the place,
Where I can see Your face.

I think I'm too important
There is too much I have to do.
But wait a minute,
It's really all about You.

You're the one who brought me here
And took away my fear.
You're the one who tells me what to say
Each and every day.

I just want to fulfill
Your desires and your will.
Tell me where to go..
Loudly! So I'll know.

Tell me what to do,
It's all about you.
On my own I will fail,
Your will MUST prevail.

Once again I give you my life
Forgive my obsession with myself.
I was born to cling to You,
And that's what I will do.
