Here I Stand

I sit in this chair
In the middle of nowhere.
I sit here
Controlled by fear.

You looked at me
My heart You could see.
You told me to stand
I did not want to obey this command.

All eyes fell upon me
As you said, “Don’t you see?”
If you obey,
Nothing can get in your way.

Another Prayer

I have written many poems about You
But none of them can describe all You do.
I have searched near and far
To find out who You are.

I have heard You whisper in my ear
And make Your plan clear.
But my mind cannot always understand
Everything You say
One thing is for sure—You always make a way.

I don’t always understand
I forget that You hold the world in Your hand
You made a way through the Read Sea
I know You can help me.

Fear is not welcome here.
Please make it disappear.
I refuse to accept confusion
Get rid of this bad illusion.

Let me see through Your eyes
Make me wise.
I am ready to worship You more
Than I ever have before.

I am ready for the next level.
I am ready to beat up the Devil.
Let’s ride upon the eagle’s wings
And learn new things.

Trust Me

Don’t You know
That I want to go?
Why won’t You take me
To the place I want to be?

My child
I know what is best
I know when you need rest
And I know when you need to be blessed.

Give your schedule to me
And you will see
What kind of God I will always be
But you have to trust Me.

Worth More Than Gold

You can do anything;
You can go anywhere.
Don’t be afraid;
When people look at you and stare.

Come with Me;
Amazing things you will see.
You are worth more to Me than gold;
You don’t have to fit into the world’s mold.

Don’t hide;
My arms are open wide.
Be bold,
That means more to me than gold.

I love you.
I will make you new.
I delight in you.
I will stick to you like glue.

I will never let you go,
I will teach you new things,
Things you do not know.
I will put you before kings.

Make Me Clean

Lord give me a new mind
I want the good kind.
I do not want to be covered in disgrace
I want to see Your face.

Give me a new heart
Pure in every part.
Give me new eyes
So I can see beyond the lies.

Let nothing separate me and You
Make my wish come true.
Lord make me clean So you can be seen.

My Child I Love You

My child I love you.
No matter what you do,
My child I love you.

I want to walk with you hand in hand;
With me you can walk on water and on land.
I will walk with you through the sea
Even when people think it can’t be.

I will walk with you through the desert,
And I will give you water.
I love you my daughter.

I will walk with you through the wilderness;
I will knock down trees in fron of you
So that you can pass through.

I will walk with you through the jungle.
I will give you a new name,
And you will never be the same.

I will walk with you through the sea;
You will learn to trust me.
You will become what you never thought you could be.

I will walk with you beside the still water;
I love you My daughter.
I will walk with you beside a raging sea,
But it will still be Me.

I See His Face

I see His face
While I’m running this race.
He said He would never let me fall
So I must stand tall.

I see His face
He is giving me grace.
His face is kind of blurry
But I must not worry.

I see His face
His tears are all over the place.
He is crying for me.
He hurts with me.

He is talking with me.
He whispers, “Keep running
There is something I want you to see.”
I have no idea what this may be.

I walk down the streets of gold
And low and behold,
He is holding a crown.
I fall to the ground.

He smiles as He lifts me up.
He points to a crowd and says,
“These people are here because
you did not give up.”

Snow

The snow comes down,
And falls to the ground.
It is so white,
And so bright.

God makes my heart as while as snow
This fact I know.
It is fun to sled
And get hit in the head.

I love to watch it fall
It reminds me of God’s call.
I need to be pure white
In a world as dark as night.

Am I Willing?

Am I willing to stand
And put everything in His hand?

Am I willing to let go
Even if I want to say “No”?

Am I willing to cry
In front of a guy?

He was not afraid to stand
And they put scars on His hand.

He was not afraid to let go
Of His very life.

Of course he went where it is hard
He went to the worst place there is.

He was not afraid to cry
He cried so hard He bled.

He’s Always There

He holds my hand

When I walk through sand.

He wispers in my ear

When I feel fear.

He always knows what to say

When I am having a bad day.

I Love You

Give me your heart

I want every part.

You must learn to hear;

Let go of your fear.

I am your Lord;

Pick up My sword.

I am your Dad.

I'm there when you're sad.

Talents

I wish I could swim like a fish,
But God did not grant me that wish.
I wish I could run fast,
But instead I finish last.
We all have things we want to do
We all have wishes
That may not come true.
But don’t be blue
Jesus has great things for you.

Goodbye

You may not know,
I tried not to let it show,
But when I said, “Goodbye”
I was about to cry.

I held my teddy bear tight
For I was filled with fright.
Jesus calmed my fears
And wiped away my tears.

The Lord gave me grace
And put a smile on my face.
He brought me to this place
And I continue to seek His face.

Arkansas is a great state,
But Mississippi is first rate.
The hills here are beautiful to see,
But I will always remember Mississippi.

My Brother

I know someone who can make me smile
And teach me about God’s love all the while.
He can not talk,
But his smile says enough.

He can not walk,
And his life has been rough.
He has taught me to see
Others have trials
Not just me.

As I travel many miles,
I don’t forget his smiles.
In heaven he will walk
And he will talk.

People will finally understand
Jesus’s second greatest command.
They will love the disabled
As if they were abled.

Let All the Children Come to Me

Even if they cannot see
Let them come to Me.
You are more blind than they,
For you do not understand what I say.
I am not like the earth,
For I see their worth.
I died for them too,
Not just for you.
Love them as I do.
I will be with you.
Do not be afraid.
By Me they were made.

God Says

Look into my eyes
And know that I am wise.
Look at my hair
And know that I care.

Listen to me with your ears
And I will wash away your fears.
Listen to my voice;
Now make the right choice.

Hold my hands
And obey my commands.
Follow My feet,
And your every need I will meet.

I Don't Deserve A Thing

I feel like I’m in a chicken coup,
For all I can eat is chicken soup.
Just give me some rest,
Then I can do my best.

What is right?
I’m looking with all my might
To find what is right
In His sight.

I try to catch the ball
But then I see it fall.
I try to jump high
And then I start to cry.

It was the Lord who died
Who am I to sigh?
The Lord is king;
I don’t deserve a thing.

A Kind and Good Savior

You died,
But they never cried.
You like to bless,
But they could care less.

You care,
But they never share.
You are King,
But you never received a ring.

Thank you for dying
People will be crying.
For you are the Savior
Even when we have a bad behavior.
